We all have DVD players in our home. But when it comes to portable DVD players do your viewing habits change? Do you end up watching different things because you aren’t restricted to watching TV in the room it happens to be in?
There is no doubt that portable DVD players are very useful things to have. For example you can enjoy watching something in bed before you go to sleep at night if you don’t happen to have a proper television in the room. Similarly you can have it in the car, on the train or even on a plane as you are heading off on holiday. Many people see them as being useful for the kids to help keep them quiet, but in reality they are just as good for the adults as well.
It can be useful to keep a separate stash of DVDs ready to use on your portable DVD player. It helps to have a separate case to keep them in as well. The last thing you want is to have to drag lots of individual DVD cases around with you, because they can take up a lot of space. If you can keep everything nice and compact all you have to do is look through one storage case to find something to watch.
Because you are often using your portable DVD player while travelling or just before you go to bed, you may not want to watch long programmes or films. So make sure you have a selection of half hour programmes you can watch to fill out the time. These are often the best choice for your needs, although of course it does depend on what you like. Half hour comedies are great, particularly if you only have a short amount of time to kill. They can also be good for quelling the nerves if you happen to be travelling anywhere.
The main thing to remember is that you can change your viewing selections whenever you like. The more discs you have in your storage case the better, but you might want to review them every now and again. Whatever your favourite programmes are at the moment, your tastes might change as well given time.
You will get plenty of use from your portable DVD player though, wherever you happen to use it. There are always times when you will be glad you bought it.
